Terms and Meanings

* Assistance Towing  : Non-emergency assistance provided to disabled vessels. 

 * Member : The person or vessel identified on the Guardian Boat Tow membership card to whom and for which the membership paid privileges apply in accordance w/ the of services provided on their 'GBT' Member Card. 

* Covered Vessel : Any vessel entitled to Guardian Boat Tow membership privileges at the time it becomes disabled. (Memberships become active 24hrs. after payment is received and necessary paperwork is completed and signed). 

* Jump Start : Starting a disabled vessels engine by attaching an external power supply to the starting circuit to remedy the disablement. 

* Fuel Delivery : Delivery of container(s) of gasoline to a disabled vessel to remedy the disablement. *Fuel cost is not included and will be local marina pricing. 

* Disentanglement : Removal of rope, line or other foreign object from the underwater running gear of disabled vessel. 

Membership Terms and Conditions  

* Activation Of Membership : All new memberships, including reactivation of expired accounts begin 24 hours from the receipt of payment and signed contract. 

* As A Basic Rule : Boating can be dangerous and can involve hazardous materials; which can be a danger to health, safety and property. When contacting Guardian Boat Tow in a situation make sure all aboard the vessel are in life jackets and anchor the vessel to the best of your ability. When reporting the incident, it is imperative to be transparent and disclose the complete candid truth. By reporting everything you assist our team in determining how to help, including the most qualified person and equipment to dispatch. By not reporting all clear details you increase to risk of endangering yourself and our team member working to assist you. 

* Membership Privileges : Membership privileges will be provided during the membership term agreement and must be held within safe parameters. Safety is our top priority, our on-water towing capabilities, recovery and delivery services can only be provided to a disabled vessel if the vessel can be reached safely and is in reasonable conditions that will not created damage or danger to the vessel or persons. Red and Blue Card Memberships are only for boats up to 32 ft in length. Memberships privileges only apply to vessel(s) in membership contract.

* Fuel Delivery : Delivery of fuel is included, fuel cost is not included and will be local marina pricing charged at the time of delivery. 

* Recovery : Memberships do not include any type of recovery including, but not limited to grounding, capsized, or sunken boats. *Members will receive special pricing for recovery work. 

* Jump Start : Starting a disabled vessels engine by attaching an external power supply to the starting circuit to remedy the disablement. 

* Covered Vessel : Any vessel entitled to Guardian Boat Tow membership privileges at the time it becomes disabled. Memberships are active for one year of the activation date. (Memberships become active 24hrs. after payment is received and necessary paperwork is completed and signed). 

* Loss & Damages : Guardian Boat Tow will not be held responsible for any loss or damages to the vessel at anytime and waives any financial responsibility of any loss or damage incurred. This includes, but is not limited to the time of towing, recovery, storage, travel, or assistance of any kind.

* Membership Priority - Guardian Boat Tow members always receive priority service; it is important to note that during times of high volume traffic, or high assistance request our response times can vary. 

* Membership Cancellation : Guardian Boat Tow reserves the right to cancel any membership at any time for abuse of privileges without limitations and without reimbursement. Misrepresentation, including; lack of upkeep and care for vessel, fraud, vessel situation distortion or conditions, including but not limited to; intoxication, engagement in illegal activities of any kind, or abuse of Guardian Boat Tow staff.

* Your Membership Is Not Insurance : This agreement is not an insurance policy and does not provide for any compensation, liability or damages arising out of damage or injury to persons, boats or property.

* Service Area : Guardian Boat Tow services Cherokee Lake from Jefferson City to John Sevier Dam in Rogersville.
